After 367 podcast episodes recorded at LA Radio Studio, today is the "Final Broadcast." As such, we invited co-hosts from shows past to visit, and visit they did. In the studio, Gonzo Greg Spillane, Kelly Bennett, Kellie Sue Peters, Stew Herrera, Mike Walters, Dale Lopes, Intern Ricky and of course, Phil Hulett. On the phone, Jay (Call me Jayson) Campadonia, Kelly J, Lisa May, Brooke Peterson, Chris Martin and Katie Elsaesser. Every one of them celebrating LA Radio Studio and our show's long podcast run at this location.
Executive Producer, Mike Stark decided this would be the day he
would shut down the studio on his terms. Redevelopment of our
harbor side shopping district, Ports O'Call in San Pedro,
California, is being demolished to make way for a new development
called the San Pedro Public Market. Big mistake, but that's another
story. Today is a day of celebration. We also did a show! Subscribe
to hear both parts!
In part 1, Manny the Movie Guy reviews Uncle Drew and Sicario: Day
of the Soldado. He issues a surprising review of Uncle Drew. Phil
wonders if this basketball movie is right up there with the
all-time best. Kelly Bennett has health news. In this case, it's a
story of a woman with a worm under her skin, ON HER FACE!
Kelly J checks in and explains why she's resisted letting her son
play soccer. Jay Campadonia recalls the best story Phil ever told.
Katie Elsasseur recounts how being on a podcast helped her comedy
career progress.
